Services / Products ZCCM-IH is an investment house with the majority of its
investments in mining companies where it predominantly
has minority stakes.
Company Profile ZCCM-IH is a successor company to Zambia Consolidated
Copper Mines Limited (ZCCM) in which the Government of
the Republic of Zambia (GRZ) holds 87.6% of the shares
with the remaining 12.4% held by private investors. ZCCMIH
shares held by private investors are listed on the Lusaka
Stock Exchange, Paris Euronext and London Stock
Exchanges under ISIN number ZM0000000034. The
geographical spread of the minority shareholders, who
number around 2400, covers about 29 countries in Europe,
Africa, the Caribbean, Australia, Asia and the USA.
In its transformed form as an investments holding company,
the main objectives of the Company are as follows:
- To increase shareholder value of investments in the
Company by creating, monitoring and reviewing
systems used in management of the company’s
investments and also increasing the investments
portfolio.
- To diversify current mining investment portfolio by
investing in base metals other than Copper and
Cobalt.
- To mitigate mining specific risks by diversifying into
non-mining investments.
- To become an active investments holding company
by being proactive in seeking strategic investment
opportunities such as public Private Partnerships.
- To ensure Associate Companies comply with
Shareholders Agreements by developing and
implementing a framework and checklist for
monitoring compliance.
- To be a responsible corporate citizen by complying
with internationally acceptable environmental
standards.
